The tunnels and viewing platforms are very exciting but not as exciting as stepping into the void!!! I also enjoyed very much the museum of mountaineering.

This cable car ascent via two stations to this splendid place to view the valley and the approaches to Mont Blanc is not to be missed. The comparatively new glass viewing facility makes for an exhilarating addition. We had a great holiday at the Chalet hotel La Sapiniere. The trip up to Brevent is almost as exciting!

Amazing is all I can say. Stunning views, interesting info. Fun to see the skiers up on those crazy slopes. Be careful of the altitude, but other than that this was the highlight of our trip to Chamonix.

I think you know by now that this place is truly amazing and that you have to come visit! So my review will focus on some tips and tricks instead :) Fyi; we visited during winter. We did not ski down, we only came to see the views.

- Come early! Be one of the first ones up. It will make it even more magical You will less people, more view!
- Go to the glass "cage" first to get your cool picture. Later during the day you will have to stand in a long line.
- Book the trip up in advance via the website. But remember to not book too early as you want to see the weather report first.
- If you don't have the time to book in advance, the good news is that only 1/3 is pre-booked spots. So you can stand in line and still get a spot!
- It is a bit harder to breath up there. But that is completely normal and you get used to it.
- Bring your camera! And wear warm clothes! It is colder up there!!
- If you have the "unlimited" skipass, the lift is included. However: you still need to stand in line or pre-book your slot by the gate. Then you show your lift pass and will get a unique ticket for the gondola to the top.
- This place is beautiful even on a cloudy day. When we went we didn't see all the mountains (only the peaks), but it was still mesmerizing! (see my photos)
