Maria was very welcoming and helpful. Accommodation had everything that you might want on holiday. Location was ideal for exploring the Cote d' Azur.

To go east, take the bus from the port e.g. to Monaco or Beaulieu. To go west take the train from the station - get there via the tram from Garibaldi.

Bus and tram fares are standard at euro 1 50, to anywhere. From and to airport best use a taxi - about euro 35.

This flat is simply fantastic. It is huge with large living room area, self contained kitchen (with all facilities and plenty of utensils etc.) It has 2 large spacious bedrooms (one double and the other has a single and queen size bed - great for our kids age 9 and 11. Flat had heating and air conditioning, although we used neither as weather was perfect. It has a great balcony overlooking a great courtyard...we had lunch there a couple of times simply eating cheese, ham, bread, wine...so relaxing! There is a great bathroom with good powered shower, and also a separate toilet. The flat is within a secure locked and lovely maintained apartment complex with lifts. Its within 3 minute walking distance of the beautiful harbour, Le Port, and place Garibaldi where you will get all the trams and buses you need for any day trips, its also a 10 minute walk (3 tram stops) from the station where you can get TGV train to Cannes (takes 30mins). We took a taxi 38euro from airport to the flat as airport strikes stopped the buses, but it would have cost 24 euros. Day trips to Cimiez (tram to end of line, 15 mins was worth the trip - stunning monestary), day trip to Cannes via TGV (half an hour, 50 euros for 2 adults and 2 under twelves), day trip bus 100 from harbour to Menton a must, stopping at Monaco for the afternoon on return. Don't visit St Lauren du var...not worth it! The corniches are beautiful...we stopped at cap du ferret where David Nivens pink house sits - fab beach - very sandy. The Nice beach is pebbles, Cannes is sand. Lots more to see but ran out of time. Oh, visit the castel on the hill (take the lift) - 2min walk from the flat and from round the corner of the harbour see the dolphins in the water at dusk. Oh, cant forget old town Nice too...fabulous market and fresh fruit.
Food - great restaurants all around the flat, Café le de place was the best! garibaldi was good too. Lots of place for croissants and coffee near by for breakfast. We hope to go back and would book this apartment again! thanks Maria for our wine and chocolate eggs for kids!

“Great apartment, excellent location”

This is a really great apartment, the location was perfect its next to the train station, tram, buses and the port. Its around a 10-15 minute walk from the main areas including promenade des anglais.

Its about a 5 minute walk to 2 main squares which include a variety of restaurants and cafes. It takes around 3 minutes to walk to the tram which will take you to nice ville train station where you are able to get a train to other cities, such as Monaco and Cannes. The train also stops at a main shopping district, this is walkable but would take around 15-20 minutes.

There is a very beautiful waterfall close by around castle hill just at the beginning of the promenade, there is a lift for those who cannot walk up about 500 steps but it does not operate on the weekends so definitely go during the week.

If you have the chance you can also take the bus/train to Eze which has stunning views. The bus does take alot longer however if you have time to spare i would suggest this route as the views are great.

The apartment itself is probably one of the best we have stayed in. Its very clean. Had two bathrooms, was fully equipped which was such a big help. It had two rooms, one with a double bed and the other one with a double bed a single bed. We we're a group of 5 so this was perfect for us. Wifi was available at all times and the balcony was great for having breakfast in the morning.

The apartment was probably one of the few we found in Nice that actually had a lift. We had a wheelchair and so the lift was a massive help. Maria was such a great help aswell very welcoming and helpful if we ever needed anything.

The apartment is about 20-30 minutes away from the airport, we had no prearranged taxi so a taxi for 5 people cost 60 Euros, the smaller ones would take around 3 people for 40 euros.

I would definitely recommend this place to stay at, it made our trip so much better, it was close to everything we needed and felt very homey. Would stay here again if we return to Nice.
