“Home from home”
Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

I visited Nice with my sister for a 5 day break. The apartment was first class, The bathroom and kitchen were newly fitted and came equipped with everything to make your stay convenient and comfortable. The lounge is tastefully furnished and the whole place is cosy and atmospheric and slap bang in the middle of the old town, The only down side is that its a top floor apartment and there is no lift, so you need to be pretty fit to tackle the 5 flights of steps but oh boy is it worth it when you get to the top ! And you really do get that view of the waterfall on Castle Hill from the lounge window !

“Beautiful & comfortable”

We stayed for a mini-break to Nice in the Murano. It was super! Everything is very new, clean, spacious, comfortable and to top it al off: set in a gorgeous old nunnery on the oldest square of Nice. Very charming. Normally we stay in hotels and we really liked to be able to have breakfast when we wanted. Great plus: in the kitchen is a Nespresso coffee machine so your caffeine jump-start in the morning is taken care of! The location is great too: it's smack in the middle of the lively old town. Public transport, restaurants, the beach, interesting places to go to are really close by or readily available.

Cons. Are there cons? Nah, better call them 'good to knows': the apartment is set on the uppermost floor of the nunnery so that means you have to climb lots of stairs and have to be able to do that. There is no elevator. My other piece of advice: bring earplugs. The Murano is set in the middle of lively Old Town, so that means it's set in the middle of lively Old Town: if it 's warm and you leave the windows open at night, you'll hear singing drunkards, shouting town cleaners, market people, singing birds.. it's lively allright... With your earplugs nice & set, this won't be a problem. Another nice to know: the door lock is a b*tch. It took us some time to get used to it. Our trick was to pull the door closed really hard and then turn the key.

The last nice to know: be aware you have to pay the lady who cleans the apartment 120 euros in cash. She'll pick you up from the bus stop and bring you to the apartment too. If she explains the door lock to you, try to close and open it yourself before she leaves. So you won't have to make that panicky phone call to her later on ;-).

Other than this: just enjoy! Nice is a very nice, beautiful and interesting old town where you can relax and recharge and the Murano is definitely a great place to do just that.

We booked this apartment for my partners birthday, and it looked beautiful on the pictures in a great location. The detail in the apartment is very good, the view from the lounge is beautiful.
Very comfy bed and lovely shower!
Location is great. And book with places to eat for recommendations was handy.
Stairs to climb actually became very easy and enjoyable looking at the artichture.
Only thing we would have liked is coffee pods and few more nibble bits included.
Thank you very much we will be returning to this lovely apartment.
To top the weekend off my partner proposed at the apartment.
