We loved this apartment so much so we are going again this year. Very near the train station and beach ,lots of lovely places to eat, lots of shops .there are a few flights of stairs but after all the drinking and eating we do it is good excise
Superb apartment with all the comforts of home.
Lovely décor, two comfy sofas in front of the TV (with Freesat & English channels), and excellent mattresses, linen & pillows on the beds.
Brilliant kitchen with all the equipment you could need, including lots of bits & pieces other apartment owners don't think to provide. WiFi worked a treat - seemed faster than I have at home.
The bathroom is lovely too, marble tiled, beautiful big basin, excellent towels and big shower.
Unusually for Nice, this place was VERY QUIET. The usual bin-emptying at night could hardly be heard unlike apartments closer to the centre of town.
Location isn't bad either, about 200 metres from the station (Gare Thiers), and if you come out of the courtyard gate only about 500 metres straight down rue Berlioz to the Negresco hotel on the Promenade des Anglais. Several small grocery shops nearby, and Monoprix supermarket about half a mile away where you can buy anything. Boulangerie directly across the road for morning croissants and bread.
Water pressure varies quite a bit and you can find yourself soaped up in the shower waiting for it to come back on again, but this is a building problem and probably not rare in Nice.
Fine bedroom curtains let light in in the morning which was OK for our winter visit but might be awkward at 4am in the summer.
The flat is on the 3rd floor which can be a trudge after a long day walking, so bear in mind if any of your party would struggle, but it's well worth the effort.
