“Great stay”
Reviewed 17 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

I had a great stay here for 18 days. It's big (in Nice terms), clean, the garden is really and the parking spot very efficient. George was a very nice and helpful host. I would definitely recommend it!

“excellent location for exploring Nice, with off-street parking”

Our 12 night stay at the apartment allowed us easy access to the city and also the station for some regional exploring. We were made very welcome by Pat and George who had lots of useful information to share. The apartment is compact and well equipped and the small side terrace area is the perfect place for an evening recap on the day's adventures. Nice's wonderful attractions; beaches, museums, cafes and restaurants, shopping, artisan bakeries, etc, are all within walking distance, and the parks and coast walks are easily accessed via trams or buses. There is no shortage of excellent eateries all within a couple of blocks. The main station is at the end of the street, just a few minute's walk, and from there we took trips west along the coast. We also walked to the other station, the Chemin de Fer train, which we took to Entrevaux..beautiful. The bonus with this apartment is the off-street parking, a rare find this close to the city. Street parking this central, while almost impossible find, is also too risky when one is paranoid (as I am) about the added costs and hassles a damaged hire car can add to a holiday. So, having our little car tucked securely in beside our terrace was a great relief. As with any inner city living there is some noise, mainly people coming in to the foyer area, but if one wants to be in the heart of things that is the price one pays. In summary, a cosy little apartment in a great location with good facilities for self-catering.

“A thoroughly enjoyable holiday rental experience.”
Reviewed 29 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

From the welcome pack of bread, cheese and wine to the charming and helpful couple who manage the apartment, the whole package was faultless. I understand the apartment is the owners own personal holiday home and this is reflected in the very high standard of the fixtures and fittings throughout.
The kitchen / diner is spacious and well equiped and leads directly to an outdoor terrace, ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining. The terrace has ample shade from the noon day sun by way of a large motorised retractable canopy, albeit a little chilly outdoors in February.
The king size double bed was both spacious and comfortable, with good quality linen, and there is ample wardrobe and drawer storage.

Secure private parking is a real bonus as on street parking is really difficult. Unless plaaning to tour the area, a car is not really necessary as there are plenty of local shops and markets, and it is a 10 minute easy walk to the Promenade Des Anglais. The nearest tram stop is 5 minutes walk, the trams running into the city centre and the old town every few minutes.

The mobile phone signal is very good, and the free wifi is fibre broadband, fast enough for and gaming and video streaming. My iPad worked a treat, preferrable to watching French TV.
We will book this apartment again soon.

“A perfect central oasis”
Reviewed 30 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Myself and my boyfriend spent a fab week here in August 2015. The apartment is clean, spacious and has everything you will need for your stay, including a welcome gift of cheese, bread and wine! The outdoor space is magic, just make sure to light the citron candles!
The location of the apartment is perfect. 5 minute walk up the street to the train station. 5 minute walk down to the nearest supermarket. And a further 5 minutes down the street and you're at the beach! Plenty of restaurants and shops around to go and eat out. But the apartment has EVERYTHING you will ever need if you intend on cooking for yourself.
Pat and her husband George were both very friendly and helpful.
