We spent a week in the Porto Rosso apartment, and would absolutely stay again. It's a fairly small place, but laid out so well (with many creative storage solutions) that we never felt cramped.
We loved the location - far enough away from the main tourist areas, but close enough that we walked just about everywhere including the Cours Saleya market, the train station, contemporary art museum, and old town. The nearby Rue Bonaparte has everything you need: wines bars, restaurants, bakeries, butchers and fromageries. The Intermarché is a block or two away.
My one quibble about the apartment would be the kitchen. Not enough pots/pans and dull knives, which I know is common in vacation rentals. That said, I turned out a Thanksgiving dinner for 4 in it, although I designed the menu around the kitchen's shortcomings (only one small sauté pan, so used the oven, etc.) At least one more dish towel would be nice, and we had to go out and buy paper towels (but maybe this is an American thing ;-)) which we used for napkins as well.
Nice Pebbles was superb to work with - super flexible, accommodating and very responsive. We will rent again from them for sure.
We stayed in Porto Rosso for 10 nights in Sept 16. The apt is situated in the port area, with nice view of the port from the small balcony. The location is great for access to the tram and an easy walk both to the promenade and the old town.
The good things are: Very comfortable bed, nice small bathroom with a good shower and washing machine, very spacious and well equipped kitchen. Very nice and comfortable coach in living-room. Well working AC in bedroom and living-room.
The not so good things are: Very small living-room, just a coach, a chair and a small tv-set between the narrow walls.Opening up the doors to the small balcony helps! No coffee-table (maybe we miss this because we are used to that, not everyone are). Noise from traffic - much because of traffic-lights in the area.
All in all I liked this small place, and after staying there for 10 days I got used to the small living-room - but more and more annoyed by the noise from the motorcycles/scoonters!
Might come back :)
