This is a wonderful apartment on the top floor of an old building right in the centre of Avignon. It is about 5 minutes walk to the Palais des Papes and the main street with many shops and restaurants. It is about 20 minutes walk from the station (or these is a little electric minibus you can get that goes right to the door). Cecile was very welcoming and showed us a map of Avignon with the main sights and some restaurant recommendations. The apartment is very light and airy with a large living space and a well equipped kitchen. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a lovely stay - thank you!
A fabulous flat. Everything you could need. Great location for getting around.
Cecile, the owner welcomed us with her lovely young family.
A brilliant place to visit. We didn't want to leave Avignon.
This apartment was in a great, central location, close to all the tourist attractions. It was well serviced, clean and tidy. Landlady was very helpful and friendly, and fluent English speaker. Highly recommend!
We felt that Apartment 37 has a excellent location with Bars, Restaurants and Supermarket just down the road. Every place of interest was within walking distance and you felt like you were living the life of the local people. The apartment 37 was neat and clean with basic facilities however, being on the second floor we would not recommend it for senior citizens as we found it a quite difficult climb.
First impressions were great from the beginning. Once we'd found the right street (contact Cecile for the details), we were warmly welcomed by Cecile and shown around the apartment, shown how everything worked, and given a map with local shops, restaurants and attractions.
The apartment was just the right size for us, with a spacious bedroom, a comfortable living room, a small but neatly compacted kitchen with all the essentials, and a nice bathroom with bath/shower fitting and washing machine. Wifi was good quality throughout the apartment and everything worked perfectly.
The location was great - 10 minutes from the city centre and Papal Palace, with a Carrefour City just down the road for shopping. Avignon is small and easily walkable, and we were in a quiet place that didn't have too much traffic.
The bed was good quality and the room had a great view over the street, the living room had a table for four, a small TV and a sofa bed, so a family or two couples is possible, but a tight squeeze.
The apartment is on the top floor of the block, fine as long as you don't mind a little walking. If you're a couple looking for an apartment at a great price for it's quality, this is the place!
