“Modern comfort in an historical building”

A top floor apartment in an ancient building occupying a quiet location within the city walls. The apartment, whilst containing modern comforts, respects the antiquity of this historic building.

“Great apartment 5 minutes walk from main street”
Reviewed 7 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Ideal for a family or two couples, this spacious apartment has two double rooms and is very well appointed. Free parking (one car) included, a huge bonus in a medieval walled city! Close to river, train station and decent supermarket too. Second floor so will not suit those with mobility problems. Smaller units also available.

“Miracle - an excellent name”

This is a remarkably well developed apartment built into the very old Chapelle du Miracle. It is perfectly suited for two adults (though possible for four) to enjoy a stay in Avignon in easy walking distance to all the key places of interest. The apartment is contemporary and incorporates major features of the ancient building and will be of interest to both historians and architects. The views from the top floor are good and calming. We were so pleased to learn about the Chapelle from literature in the information folder and especially excited to be invited to view the main Chapelle when it happened to be open. A fine standard of cleanliness, good comfort and very friendly welcome made the stay feel personal. Very high recommendation

“Beautiful Converted Chapel Apartment”
Reviewed 26 February 2015 for a stay in November 2014

My friend and I stayed in this charming converted Chapel apartment last November 2014. It is beautiful, conveniently situated and the photos don't do it justice! it is just inside the old walls of the city and an easy walk to the train and bus stations.
The apartment is very clean, well equipped and up to date, it has everything you could want for a comfortable stay. It is perfectly placed to explore Avignon and the surrounding towns, Palais des Paps and the centre of town is about a twenty minute walk away. Ponte du Gard, I’isle Sur La Sorgue and Saint Remy de Provence are all easily reached by bus or train and well worth the trip.
WiFi was a bonus because staying in touch with family is a must.
The owner answers all email enquiries very promptly and his son and daughter in law live on site to assist you with any queries, including great advice about where to eat and what to see, they were delightful. They also gave us a tour of the old Chapel which was a real treat!
If I am lucky enough to visit Avignon in the future, this is where I want to stay!

“Lovely apartment in quiet, convenient location”
Reviewed 28 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The apartment is located on the 3rd floor (accessible only by stairs) of a restored 14th century chapel. The outside of the building is historic, but the inside of the apartment blends old (brick walls and vaulted ceilings) with new (modern appliances & lighting). The owners live in the building and are friendly and accessible. Emails were answered promptly.
The apartment was very clean and uncluttered. The kitchen was well-equipped with pots, dishes, cutlery, etc. but there are no extra items (like paper towels, spices, storage containers, cooking oil, etc.) that you sometimes find in rental apartments. The big grocery store, Leclerc, is an easy 10min walk away so it was easy to stock up. Except on Sundays...it was almost impossible to find any type of épicerie open on a Sunday evening.
Bedrooms were comfortable for sleeping with good air circulation from the Windows and the portable fans.
The apartment is on a quiet street just Inside the old city walls. With a car, it is an easy exit/entrance to get onto the main roads leading out of the city. It is also an easy walking distance to the train station and tourist bureau.
Wi-Fi connection was good.

Many thanks for this rewiew. Just a precision: the apartment is on the second floor instead of 3rd.
