Great hotel for a couple of nights in La Rochelle. We had a John Lennon room, which is rather small. The breakfast buffet offers all you need to start your day. the staff is helpful in finding good restaurants. Luggage drop off could be made easier by opening the hotel car parking. If you want a spot on the hotel parking, you definitely need to reserve on beforehand.
Tip for a trip: take the city bus to Ile de Ré on the nearby Place du Verdun, and rent a bike at the bus stop on Ile de Ré to tour the island.

Excellent welcome at a beautiful hotel. I was received in style and hosted in a very original room with a giant poster if the Beatles on one wall. Very clean, furniture arrangement very stylish, very kind and devoted staff. Will visit again. I recommend.

Nice small cozy hotel in the centre of La Rochelle. Cool interior design! In the corridor you may find interesting books about famous artitsts. We reserved late on the webpage and got an free room upgrade.

We stayed in a triple room for one night en route from Spain to the ferry port at Roscoff in Brittany. This is a really individual, funky, pop art-themed hotel. Our room had a huge photograph of The Beatles and the place is full of guitars and music memorabilia. It's also very well located in the midst of the old town of La Rochelle and within easy strolling distance of the old port area. The breakfast is very good, and the private parking is a real bonus for those arriving by road (it costs €15 per night). But we had one major downside. I can't be sure if there is no air conditioning in any of the rooms, but our's certainly didn't have it. And, with temperatures over 30 degrees C, it was pretty uncomfortable despite the hotel lending us a fan. If you're booking for summer, it's worth remembering.

We were driving down to spain stopping off at place sin France along the way. We stopped at La Rochelle and booked this hotel purely based upon proximity and price while sitting in a cafe at the harbour.

Based upon the the price ( just over £50 for a double room) my expectations were not that high. But i was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very well located right in the heart of the old town and is 5 minutes walk from all of the bars and cafes on the harbour front. It has its own secure parking which was a bonus when your car is loaded with stuff when driving down to spain. The hotel itself is very quirky in its decor and style,. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very spacious, bright airy and clean.

I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat and should i return to La Rochelle again. This will be my first choice for somewhere to stay.
