Kim's Garden in Anda is as close to paradise as you can get!
We stayed in the Family Cottage, in a jungle garden just a few steps from our own small private white sandy beach.
The delicious simple local produce fresh from Anda market cooked by Kim's girlfriend over a traditional open fire stove was superb and the well stocked fridge full of San Miguel Pilsen ( in 1 litre bottles for ~2€) made sure you never got too dehydrated.
German host, Kim will keep you entertained with tales of record breaking rides around the Phillipines on his Hog and stories of action packed adventures in his Paramotor. His two dogs follow him everywhere, including for his morning swim where Scoobydo, the soppy Great Dane pup will try and sink you, if you join them.
The air conditioned room was clean, simple and comfortable, with two good sized double beds separated by an island shelving unit in the main room with a shower room off to the side. Although I much preferred to use the outdoor shower
But you spend most of your time, including meal times around the marble top table in the outside kitchen under the high palm leaf roof.
There are bikes and scooters for hire at modest rates, so you can explore the surrounding countryside, but you need to remember driving standards are not quite what you might expect in Europe.
If you're making the trip East, book your ticket to Paradise at Kims Garden and get to this out of the way unspoilt spot before the hoards discover it.
