This hotel is well-located in the middle of La Baule just a couple of minutes from the beach. It has quite quirky decor and most of the accommodation is in separate buildings from the reception/restaurant. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed. One of our party is disabled and her room was on the ground floor but there was a step up into the bathroom which wasn't ideal.
Our bedroom (132) was on the first floor and had steps down into the bedroom, which wouldn't suit everyone. The bedroom was spacious and clean. Our only criticism was the lighting, the bedside lamps were too low and dim to be any use, and the heating unit was quite noisy and over-zealous so we switched it off at night. We were also church-side so don't choose this room if you mind church bells!
We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and 2 dinners, the food was great and, as with the whole hotel, the service was excellent. The hotel also offers a nice tea and cake.

I booked this hotel a few days before arrival from the Charente Maritime. First impressions;beautiful hotel as are all buildings in surrounding streets but no parking. My husband double parked down the street while I went to ask where the car park was. The young lady I asked at reception had very little English so I asked for details in French. She answered by pointing to the right and saying "la bas". I asked for more details and she gave me a hotel brochure on which she had drawn arrows around the block the hotel was in. A few more shrugs on her behalf and I decided to check it out myself. As website had declared there was parking for 8 cars I expected to see a car park of sorts. However having driven round the block several times we gave up, went back in and asked her to show us. She directed us to what I thought was the front garden of the house next door. Turns out it was part of the hotel with parking for 2 cars. This whole episode took up at least 30 minutes. We unpacked and checked in and the same young lady showed us to our room in another house in the grounds of the main hotel. We had booked a classic room which is hotel speak for standard. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed but was very small for 2 people. Bathroom was very good.
We went for a walk down town which was pleasant. On returning we thought we'd have a drink in the bar. Problem. On enquiringly where the bar was we were told there was only one space left in it but we could try later. We didn't.
We arrived for breakfast at 8.30 along with quite a few other people. We stood waiting to be seated until we realised we were invisible to the staff. People who came in afterwards were greeted and seated and asked if they would like tea or coffee. Staff seemed to go out of their way to avoid eye contact with us. Eventually we took a seat ourselves. We had to request coffee twice before it arrived. Breakfast was good with everything fresh. Best hotel orange juice ever. Unfortunately that wouldn't be enough to make us return. This beautiful hotel deserves much better service than we received.

The hotel is close to the promenade Next to the beach, and from outside it S Really beautiful villa. Nevertheless the rooms inside are old fashioned, mixing a lot of styles with No brains. This could be Really a fairy taile, But the Dont achieve to it. The Breackfast was only 13 euro's But was Really limited. Queuing with 15 people for a croissant and a boiled egg....it was limited But the quality was Good. In the evening Sitting in the garden with a Coffee and a the is really Nice But Dont look at liquors Because the were SUPER expensive!!!!! But Nice and Amazing region.

Pretty little hotel within 5 minutes walk from the main shops and 2 minute walk to the main beach. Staff were very nice and garden was so relaxing. They have parking but only for 8 cars but you can park around the hotel for free.
We tried to get bicycles but they were always rented out so ensure you pre book them if you wish.
The breakfast was okay but it's rather expensive for what you get so be ensure to ask how much you are paying.
The best was so comfy, room was clean, toilet was very small but overall the stay was very nice.

This hotel is so well located - right behind the market and a few streets away from the beach. It is incredibly charming and looks like a little farmhouse. Intimate and well appointed rooms make you feel like you are staying at a friend's home.
