Lovely family husband / wife run hotel, very quaint.
Rooms on 3 floors, small with no elevator but spotless. Both staff were helpful in assisting with our suitcases up the narrow stairs.
Beware as well there is no place to park, as is normal in the old Breton and Normandy towns You can take your car into the very narrow street to drop off luggage but need to find a carpark or street parking for the rest of your stay.
The staff were very helpful assisting us with information where to get the bus to the Peace Museum.( Fabulous) and restaurants. .
All in all would recommend this lovely little hotel for a few nights.

Room tip: had a room on the first floor facing the interior.

Hotel Francois d'O is very charming. Located on an extremely narrow street in the old town. Was very convenient to the DDay tour I planned to take. About a 15 e taxi ride from the train through the more modern part of town. My room was small and faced the street. If choosing this hotel bring earplugs because if you are assigned a room on the street side you could be annoyed by noise coming from the restaurant at the end of the street, which acts as an echo chamber. The restaurant noise stopped around 1130 pm. Just an FYI if you are planning an early am activity the next day. Otherwise it was very clean and the owners/ innkeepers were friendly and welcoming.

Staff is really friendly and helpful. Speak English and take an extra step to make your stay as comfortable as you need.
The room just has everything you would expect. Good bed, somewhat hard mattresses, but this is subjective. The breakfast is typically French but good.
We stayed in room 12 on the third floor and could hear noises from another room (people talking, toilets flushing) in the middle of the night.
The hotel does not have an elevator and is in the center of Caen.

Lovely, clean family run hotel in the heart of Caen. Friendly staff, beautiful building. Room small but clean. Bathroom hilariously small but clean. Good value for money. Close to monuments ( especially chateaux de Caen) & all the restaurants. Happy to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Caen.

Brilliant modern hotel in the centre of Caen, walking distance from Castle. Easy bus ride fro Ferry. Super clean and comfortable. Flatscreen TV and free reliable Wifi as standard. Very nice continental breakfast. Lovely helpful people.
No negatives. Just a very pleasant place to be. definitely will go back.
