People enter, not looking for anything, start looking, then keep looking. What they are searching for, they do not know and it does not really matter. Keeping looking up is what matters. Some people might find what they were not looking for. Most wont and again, it does not matter. The important thing is to never give up. Keep looking up.

The old bourse building is on the side of the Place Charles de Gaulle. You can’t miss it, in is a Flemish architectural extravaganza covered in ornate French! In the courtyard there is a used book market and other antiques including maps, pictures and china. The building provides the perfect frame for this market and one can quietly browse the many books and articles on sale. This is a good place to get unique and very French souvenirs. The inner and outer architecture of the old bourse is ornate and elegant, one of the nicest buildings in Lille!

Amazing building and can imagine the hustle and bustle of the past.
Great to see and feel the environment. If there's an opportunity, take a seat...
It appeared there may be a market but wasn't running on our visit.

We were just wandering through and there were vendors selling books from the 1700-1800s, vintage advertisements from the turn of the century, antique dishes and furniture. We only made it as far as the courtyard and spent hours flipping through books and advertisements like it was a museum.

This is basically a building with large internal courtyard which holds a book and poster art market in the cloister area. Worth a walk around but also if you go into one of the independent cafes accessed from outside the building, ding they have retained some of the old spiral staircases and panelling. There is a great creperie/ pizzeria and an amazing sandwich eat in shore called Honey Pot ??
