We had just a day in Toulouse - it was really a stopover from flying in, staying over in a hotel in Toulouse and then leaving later in the day for a house we were renting the Lot Valley. We had spent the morning seeing the sights in Toulouse (Couvent des Jacobins etc). It was a hot day and Bistroquai had a wonderful menu on their chalkboard. We had an amazing lunch with drinks and the waiters and everyone at the adjoining tables had the spirit of fun. We would definitely stop here again, as we thought Toulouse was a surprising destination! Want to spend more time here and recommend to those who are looking for someplace to visit that isn't in the top 10 of guidebooks. We are now Toulouse enthusiasts.

I only can recommend to try the tuna steak as well as the tapas which were well prepared.
Just the pommes frites could be more grispy.
The service was perfect.

What a delight this place is. I had lunch outside here on a sunny day, with a great view of the quai and the artists' stalls across the way. I ordered from the set menu and my two courses were delicious. The wine was good too - not always the case when you want to order by the glass. Our waiter served a large number of tables without faltering and had a smile for everyone. He deserves a medal - a great ambassador for Toulouse.

My boyfriend and I dined here the last night of a 2 week stay in France and Spain. We had one night in Toulouse and literally stumbled in to this little gem. We had a bottle of wine, the cheese plate and the steak tartare. All were wonderful. The owner is delightful and we told him to come to New York and open up a place. Everything thing about this restaurant was great...food, anbience and price. I would come back again and wish we had more places like this in NYC

We had a two course lunch for two, and the food was generous and well prepared, and the price was reasonable. The attention to detail and professionalism was obvious, the balance great, and we left well satisfied.
