Our last meal in France for this trip, we saved the best for last. We were glad we had booked, for people were being turned away in droves. From first to last, quite simply, this was one of the best meals we have ever had in France. No pretensions to starred frippery, just excellent ingredients, cooked well and presented simply. Service was excellent, friendly and generous. We started our trip with chips cooked in goose fat, we ended the trip with similarly divine potatoes. Seldom has the humble spud been raised to such dizzy heights.
