You should not miss it. The market is not too big but it has a great variety of french food there, fruits and vegetables too. The visitors are local people and tourists too. Negative point: There’s not a lot of place to seat and enjoy a meal.

I’m not going to lie..I came here for the cheese. But there is so much more here. If you have means to cook you can purchase meats and seafood. Inside there are also restaurants and a beer garden. It’s a fairly small market to what I’ve experienced but a great place to indulge none the less.

The market is across the street from the cathedral. There are numerous small shops inside, selling mostly food items and providing space to sit and eat if that is what you want. I bought my wife a local spice mixture that I was assured was very spicy. Apparently it is because she is still using some three months later. Nice people and great atmosphere.

Wonderful covered market in Metz. Building is beautiful. A huge range of local and wider produce, fruit, veg, dairy, cheeses, meat, fish, specialist shops. Well worth a visit to browse of buy. Next to the cathedral.

If you want to eat some traditional or special, fresh food for a reasonable price in Metz, do not miss this market! It's located just next to the Metz Cathedral.
There are restaurants where you can have a menu, or just a quiche, or even if you want to try something different, try the corse restaurant.
As it is a market, you can buy any kind of fresh food (vegetables, meat, baguettes, local dishes and food, etc.).
This market is in the city center, 15-20 minutes walk from the central ttain station of Metz.
