I felt like I had been let loose in a fanciful new world filled with French delights, treats and incredibly fresh produce. I wanted to touch, sample and eat soooo many things it was impossible to focus! We wandered, chatted, sampled, purchased and then did it all over again. The vendors were super friendly to non-French speakers. Not only food but also soaps, spices, clothes and so much more were available. The WHOLE town comes alive for the few hours it is open. Incredible!

This Saturday market is not to be missed - stalls running down both sides of the road and in the alleyways.

Lots of fresh produce and stalls offering samples of baked goods, sausages, cheese etc... we visited different stalls and made up an impromptu picnic basket for lunch. You can also just sit in one of the many cafés and people watch. Lovely little antique shops to visit too!

There was a free horse carriage ride the weekend we were there, 10 minutes of fun just riding through the town.

There is free parking at end of the town for those who are driving in, but try to get there before 10am if you want to be sure of getting a space.

As a Saturday market, it is excellent and a lot larger than the Wednesday amrket. There are loads of food stalls with everything you could possibly want - cheeses, sausages, olives, oils, foie, terrines, vegetables, wines, the list goes on. There are a couple of nice shops in the town as well. Worth while going to see it if in the area.

This is a market of great variety, it also has its seasonal changes so if you are a visitor or a resident it will be good for you in either case. In summer there are more stalls but in Winter the food market is difficult to beat, lots of tourist favorites in summer but you are still able to find good produce if you know where to look! The setting in the Place Aux Herbes is magical and truly medieval in style and date of construction. Restaurants around it are many in summer and sometimes difficult to find open in winter although Terroirs stays open most of the year with it loyal resident following. If you are in this area not to be missed!!

We were here for the Saturday market and it was very busy place. Great food stalls as well as many other things. If you can try to be here on a Saturday as the market is bigger than a Wednesday. Well worth being here for. Enjoy.
