Built in the late 1600's, this property change many hands through the monarchy. Originally a gathering place for the Palace visitors, this is the City Hall of Versailles. Some interesting history on the construction of this property as the King did not want any structure visible from the Palace to be above his bedroom view.
Beautiful architecture, carefully maintained.
We stopped here after our visit of the grounds of the Chateau. The market is worth seeing. Also, ice skating was available (5,00 each) but it is not on ice. It was on a plastic flooring and we decided to not try it.
