this is a great bnb. close to marcadet metro and central to Paris centre. There are lots of lovely cafes nearby and restaurants. If you want a place that is away from the tourists and will give you a taste of local parisienne life, then this is a good place to stay. Kay is very helpful and friendly and has a range of recommendations for the area. She speaks perfect english and french, so easy to communicate with her. The flat is on the 5th floor, no lift. It has french doors that open onto a balcony and you get a wonderful breeze blowing through the flat. It has cooking and laundry facilities and it is bright, sunny and airy. The bathroom and toilet are small but the other rooms are large. The downside for us (seniors) are the stairs...a killer for large suitcases and dodgy knees and the street noise bothered us on the weekend, but when you close the doors you can't hear anything. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place.
Small unit with great value for money. It is super close to the metro and therefore ideal base to get to all of Paris main attractions. Not for people who want a super quiet place but you are in the middle of the action in Paris and even our four month old daughter sleeps through the night.
However the owner Kay turns this unit from a decent, good value accommodation into a special place. She is welcoming and is super proud of Paris which is good because she seems well connected and will give anyone asking for it the right advice to really experience Paris not only as a tourist but point you in the direction of the locals.
As long as we can leave two of our three kids with the granny we will be back for sure.

We stayed in Kay's home just during the flood of the Seine. In those days the sky was always cloudy, but the light in Kay's House was beautiful. From the balcony that runs through the apartment, you can see a lot of typical parisian rooftops. The house is well equipped and comfortable regardless of the five floors without a lift. We loved the proximity to Sacre Coeur district , the convenience for public transport and especially its multiethnic atmosphere. Kay is a very nice, discreet and attentive hostess who directed us to bar and restaurants that we've "experimented" with pleasure.
When we'll return to Paris, Kay's house will still be our base .
On our first rental, we had a great experience. Kay was helpful without being in the way. Her house was clean and included all the essentials -- bed, linens and a coffee maker. She gave us good tips on how to get around. It was only a few blocks to the subway and we were off to see the city. Thought I would die climbing up five flights of stairs after a day at the Louvre, but made it!
