Dropped by for lunch on weekend. Very nice family style restaurant. Spoke English and professional. The food was very tasty and had a home cooked quality to it. Price was reasonable. Definitely check it out if you are a tourist around rue Rivoli area near Louvre ...

Small and quaint restaurant. Mostly frequented by locals. You may miss it when walking along fue du Mont Thabor, since it does not have sidewalk seating and its signs are very small.
The menu is not long, but all what I tried from it was excellent.

We had dinner for 6 here during a family vacation to Paris. Although the restaurant is small, we were quite comfortable and the staff made our dinner a true pleasure. The food? Very good, nicely prepared and served quickly - quite important when feeding hungry teens. They also made a special burger dish for our youngest, so everyone was able to enjoy dinner. Overall, I'd say this is a great spot to grab dinner if you are staying near the Louvre.

Two of us were tired and wanted to have dinner close to hotel. The concierge at my hotel recommended L'Ardoise. This restaurant was like a feeding room. You arrive and are seated, you are given a set priced menu with choices of starter, main course and dessert. (First time in a restaurant that I had to choose the dessert at the same time as the rest of the meal). The dishes arrive very quickly after you order. I think that in the kitchen there is no chef, just someone who reheats the food, as evidenced by the quality of the food.
The two servers offer no dialog, no questions, no "where are you from?". The whole restaurant was filled with foreigners, just as us, who probably were given the recommendation from their hotels' concierge.
If you go To Paris, skip by this place. you will do a whole lot better by walking down a street and choosing a restaurant at random.
the only reason I'm giving 3 stars, is so more people read my review and don't fall victim to a bad experience.

The quality of the food was sensational and diverse. The seating was tight but you quickly get used to. Was lucky to be invited into the Chefs kitchen on our second night there. The staff are great; helpful and assertive
