I can't say enough nice things about Emmanuel and the process of renting his apartment. His communication was super fast and booking was very simple. I even had a friend who spoke fluid French speak to him before I arrived to finalize only to find out that was totally unnecessary. Before we arrived he gave us several options on how to get there... PS DO NOT TAKE A TAXI THAT DOESN'T SAY "TAXI PARISIENNE"! You will get ripped off!
Any way he met us at the apartment and showed us through. He had welcome croissants waiting for us, a couple of maps as well as a booklet on sightseeing that proved to be so helpful that we forgot to give it back (Sorry Emmanuel). The neighborhood was great too. Several great brasseries and at the corner is a cute little bakery that stays open late if you ask really nicely. The bedroom is a good size and there is a washing machine in the bathroom. Emmanuelle had herbs and spices from everywhere if you felt the desire to cook as well as clean utensils and a wonderful old fashioned percolator. He even provided coffee.
Pere La Chaise Cemetery is only a 7 minute walk away and its really beautiful. If you're looking for Jim Morrisson or Oscar Wilde its a bit of a trek in the cemetery and to be honest there were so many eerily beautiful crypts that we never got to the famous ones. The metro is a mere 4 minute walk and it has two (M2 & M3) so its super easy to get to and from central Paris. Honestly the only thing I would warn you about is the 4 flights of stairs as it is a walk up but even that is really nothing compared to the great time we had in Paris in this great apartment.
