I traveled from San Diego, California. When I arrived to the Hotel de Nell, I was met with very accommodating and kind staff that assisted me with my luggage and showed me my room. What a beautiful and fantastic room. I travel frequently, and I was overjoyed to find that my room was equipped with a beautiful terrace from which I could sit and enjoy the day. Especially beautiful in the early morning and late night. The room was private and quiet, I heard absolutely no noise from outside my room. I am a very light sleeper so quiet is very important to me. The amenities in the room are phenomenal- water, lovely snacks, drinks, little gifts left daily and nightly. You are really treated like royalty here. The robes and slippers are fabulous after a rejuvenating soak in the amazing Japanese bathtub. It was easy to navigate nearby sites and the hotel was a nice walking distance from many important monuments. Also nice to explore the surrounding areas and lose yourself a bit in Paris. I dream of coming back to the Nell. Truly a paradise vacation for me.

The balconies at the 5th floor are indeed really peaceful to enjoy a breakfast or a glass of Champagne and the Japanese bath tub really pleasant after a long day to walk in Paris!
Little gifts coming from Nuxe & La Maison du Chocolat.

I highly recommend this wondeful boutique hotel for the friendliness of the staff, the restaurant, and room amenities and decor. The hotel is well situated in a quiet yet accessible neighborhood 10 min walk from the Louvre.

Delicious lunch at la regalade at hotel Nell. All specials were delicious. Pate starter and pickles nice touch. Waitress was fun and awesome service. No french snobbery here! Rice pudding and vanilla soufflé yummy but unable to finish due being so full. Friendly, busy cafe.
Pricey with drinks but worth it. Memorable moments in Paris.

Loved the hotel, the restaurant and the atmosphere...

The essence of great hospitality is generosity - one should feel like a welcome guest in the home of a close friend. So why does this small and elegant hotel charge 2 euros for tea bags and coffee capsules used in the room, or add a 6 euro supplement for main dishes such as scrambled eggs at breakfast? Surely these charges are not essential to the profitability of the hotel and they feel so penny pinching when most hotels in this class would not dream of charging extra.

The hotel location is a little off the beaten track and not ideal for the main sites but a genuine quartier is within 5-10 minutes walk so what it lacks in tourist convenience is made up by the feel of a more genuine Paris than one finds near the Opera Garnier or the Trocadero.

Our upgraded room was well equipped and stylish with a very comfortable bed but a strange "japanese" bath that took forever to fill and was too big for one but too small for two. A nice touch at turndown was the box of two Maison du Chocolat pralines.

The breakfast buffet is good (except for the silly supplement) and the bar has a barman who knows how to mix good cocktails. Bar snacks for lunch could have been better - so-so sandwiches and croque monsieurs.

Beware the hotel "taxis" they are unmetered and cost about twice a normal cab and if you book on the Starwood site make sure you get the number of guests correct. If it defaults to 1 person there is a punitive supplement for the second breakfast. Again it came across as very ungenerous.

Dear muchtravelled001,

Many thanks for this good notation even if the rates of services seems a matter at each level of your stay.

Breakfast, only fresh products, daily dishes, organics, slow food. Organic eggs & fresh Parisian ham on supplément, your are right. range of rate : 15 euros for an express breakfast, 24 euros for continental and 30 for the full option ! Perhaps should we bill only 30 euros to avoid this feeling of "supplement". We notice your remark and if we have it again, we'ill include everything.

Dito for Mini bar, as soon you book prestige, deluxe or junior suite, 5 non alcoholic drinks per day are complimentary.

Taxi, fare rate : private chauffeur, much more secured than taxis.

You have complimentary water up on arrival, complimentary chocolates by La Maison du Chocolat, complimentary massage oil by Nuxe, Complimentary 4 mega per second wifi, complimentary. if we have other remarks as yours, we'll find the way to include it in the room rate, trust in our attention and in the consideration of our remarks.

Best Regards,

Arnaud Valary
