The Monets alone make this museum but the basement collection of 19th and 20th century artwork is outstanding as well. Take your time here. Sit in both Monet rooms and enjoy the views.

Go. Just go, seriously it’s some of the best art you’ll see in your life.

Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Modigliani.

The only downside is that it’s always incredibly busy, but hey, with all those amazing works, you wouldn’t expect anything less

We stopped at this museum on our way to the Louvre. A thoughtfully planned layout. We arrived here at 11.am a small queue off approx 30 people so moved very quick once inside there was no charge for teenagers under 18 and we set off looking at the art work on display. The rooms that have the Monet wall art are lovely and as it was not too busy quite calm and relaxing as was its intention. Good facilities with cafe we had a snack and drink which was good quality with friendly service.

This museum was recommended at the last minute and as we were due to be heading in that direction anyway, we decided to pop in.
For €9 per person, this was a steal.

If I’m honest, I wasn’t overly bothered about seeing the Waterlilies and Monet wasn’t exactly on my must see list, but wow! So glad we did.

The Waterlily paintings are beautiful and I was completely taken aback by how impressive they are in person. Even if you are not a huge Monet fan, you can’t help but be impressed by there size and their ability to create a sense of calm.

As for the rest of the museum, it was a huge surprise to see so many great artists in one place. Renoir, Picasso the list went on.

We were there for a good hour and half and really enjoyed the experience.

Would absolutely recommend and would definitely visit again if given the opportunity.
