Dear Guillaume R,
Thank you very much for sharing your opinion on Trip Advisor.
Our team had been pleased to read that you appreciated your Parisian experience at Hotel de Seine.
August is the low season in Paris and rates depend on season and availability. If you want to have the best offer for your next booking, contact the hotel directly, it is always less expensive and with best conditions than on other websites.
We do hope that you had nice trip back home and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Our group of 9 included ages 10-65, so it was a priority to find a good location that would allow us to walk most places we wanted to see and yet be close enough that we could split up and meet back at the hotel. This fit the bill. The surrounding area was a lively fun spot to stroll in the evening, with many cafes and street performers. We wandered to find crepes each evening, which was a highlight of our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and surprisingly very quiet given the activity in the surrounding area. Plenty of options nearby for breakfast too.
Dear Amie S,
Thank you very much for taking time to post a review after your stay at Hotel de Seine.
Our staff have been pleased to feel that you really appreciated your experience in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. You could not find a best area for your Parisian trip! It is central, lively, and it offers a large choice of good restaurants ! Which is an important point :)
It will be a pleasure to welcome you all for a new break in the city of lights...
We stayed here for 3 nights in early August. Not only was the location amazing (almost everything we wanted to experience was within a 10-15 minute walk), but the front desk was so helpful and friendly! They made our stay all the more stress-free and comfortable.
Dear Caroline R,
Thank you very much for your wonderful review on Trip Advisor!
Our staff had a big smile after reading your comment full of enthusiasm! Saint-Germain-des-Prés is a fantastic choice of location for a visit of Paris. And if you like walking, you can go easily to the main touristic places (Notre-Dame Cathedral, Orsay or Louvre Museum, Seine River...).
We sincerely hope to welcome you back soon for a new Parisian adventure.
Stayed here with family of 3 for five days at end of July in a courtyard-facing triple room on the 6th (top) floor. it was very clean and comfortable, and staff was all very friendly and helpful. Even though it was a triple, the room wasn't very large (ie. smaller than what would be considered a small standard hotel room in the US), but big enough for our needs. Only issue was finding space to put luggage - we ended up putting one large suitcase on top of a table and another on the floor of the closet, which worked out fine. Be aware that there are only a couple of electric outlets in the room.
As is often the case in European hotels, the bathroom was a bit unconventional. It had enough space, but the shower was in a tub with high sides, so there is a significant step to get into it, which could be an issue for people who are elderly or have disabilities. Also, there isn't a door or shower curtain, so some amount of water would splash out. However, this wasn't a big deal.
The hotel was was very quiet (maybe in part because we were on the top floor and facing the courtyard) - we barely heard anyone or anything the entire time we were there. There is a small elevator in the hotel (fits 3 people max), which we used frequently given that we were on a high floor.
The location in St. Germain really can't be beat. It is on a quiet street within a half mile walk of many of the main attractions in Paris (Louvre, Notre Dame, D'Orsay, Jardin du Luxembourg, etc), and there are many good restaurants nearby. In fact, this was probably our favorite neighborhood of any we saw in Paris. We walked almost everywhere we went. We only took the metro once (to return from the Arc de Triumph) and took an Uber or cab a few times, which generally cost about 8 Euro wherever we wanted to go (including the Eiffel Tour). A block away is Rue de Buci, which is a picturesque street with cafes and bistros lining either side, and is quite busy. We ate breakfast each morning in one of the cafes.
Overall, it was exactly what we were looking for and we were very pleased.
Thank you very much for choosing Hotel de Seine for your family stay in Paris.
It is a pleasure for our team to read that you had a lovely experience in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The area is simply fantastic, lively by day and night, very central, and with many good restaurants and cafés all around. We totally understand why it is your favorite neighborhood, we love working there too!
We paid much attention to your remarks and it will help us for our next improvements.
We do hope that you had a nice trip back home and we wish you a beautiful day.
Cozy hotel next to vibrant Saint-Germain neighborhood. Nice staff. Spiral staircase. Charm. Tight rooms (Paris!) but generous bath. We arrived jet lagged on a very hot day and the AC was a huge relief. They checked us in an hour early, and the next day held our luggage for 4 hrs after checkout.
Thank you very much for choosing Hotel de Seine.
Our team has been glad to see that you had a great stay with us in the mythical Saint-Germain-des-Prés. It has been very hot those days in Paris and having the air conditioning in the rooms was essential for our guests!
It would be a pleasure to welcome you back to Hotel de Seine for a new Parisian trip.
Staff was very helpful, accommodated a need for early check in, location is fantastic - easy to get to food, shopping, metro, left and right bank sights. Didn’t use the cafe because there were so many options available near by as well, but appreciated that it was an option. Would stay there again.
Thank you very much for staying at Hotel de Seine.
Our team had been pleased to welcome you to the deep heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and we do hope that you will be back very soon for a new visit of Paris.
