Description: Beautifully prepared, vibrant and fresh, the food at Le Saotico is both original and memorable. "Mmmm, that's so good!" Are words we often hear in this restaurant in the second arrondissement of Paris, a short distance from the Boulevard Montmartre and the Opera Comique. Providing great food and great service is the Saotico constant goal. To offer dishes made from market-fresh seasonal produce, with daily deliveries of carefully selected quality ingredients: meat sourced exclusively from French farms, line-caught fish (from the fishmonger's at Le Dome), and choice fruit and vegetables. Tickling the tastebuds with subtle and distinctive pairings of flavours and textures is the philosophy of chef Hugues Gournay and his staff. Providing attentive service with meticulous attention to detail and an eagerness to meet and welcome guests are the essential goals of Anne Surcouf and her team.

My wife and I had a lovely meal here last night. Friendly welcome by the staff who speak English. Great food, I had the Lamb and my wife had fish. Good choice of food and wine.
Also very reasonably priced for Paris. Would recommend for those who want great French food, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere

Excellent food and service. We had salmon tartar, lamb chops and scallops. Good choice of wine and super tasty desserts (try the pain perdu!).

We ordered duck leg, beef, salmon, shellfish and soup. The soup is really light, not much flavor in it. The main dishes are all good, especially the duck leg! When we finished all our meal, and waited for the payment. However, only the restaurant owner can take the money, at the same time, she was busy taking other tables order. So she kept us waiting for another 20minutes to go. Except this everything was great!

If you want perfection, come here. When you arrive you might feel it’s off the beaten path but make sure you walk through the doors. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, dessert and coffee - for two and did not leave one single drop (I mean ONE SINGLE DROP) behind. The ambiance, wine, food and staff are perfection. Truly. We had a favorite restaurant for 8 years running and it just got beat out. We had one night in Paris and we could not be more grateful that we spent it here. We will never forget this. Tout était parfait!

Close to Opera district and Haussmann, Le Saotico offers classic French dishes with a few departures. I did a French and Italian combo with the Foie Gras starter followed by the Salmon pasta. Both are highly recommended.

Service was attentive and although we spoke French, we were eyeballed as English speakers and they had their English speaking host attend to us. Also English menus. I don't like when people assume I'm an English speaker but they were exceedingly pleasant and did their best to make us at home.

Downstairs is the traditional setup with a bar and coffee with second floor seating available to skip the bustle.

Overall a fine visit. Recommended.
