Simple and casual decor. Very good service. Menu of surprises. Creative dishes, some were excellent while some were good. The only dish that we all (group of 4) didn’t like was the cheese dish. Although there was no single outstanding dish the food was delicious and creative.

Located behind strong gates on rue Tronchet, at the end of the courtyard, the restaurant is a hidden gem.
Nice design, modern but comfortable with appropriate lighting (not too dark, not too bright).
The food is pretty innovative, presenting high quality ingredients in beautiful set plates.
Very nice experience

Overall, much better than last year we were here in May 2016.

We had the full 7 course menu at lunch (160euros) without wine pairing.

Love the Pigeon followed by the crab soup. Food was TOP notch.

Some may find it a tad too nosiy and ventilation from the kitchen poor but the food makes up for the minor intolerances.

Friendly staff and great service.

Definitely be back.

The decor is dark grey, brown and other neutrals but it works. There is only one sitting so the service is pretty good. The presentations are very nice on all dishes and surprising on some. The chef likes to use all local (i.e., European) ingredients. That is too bad, as the beef, which could have been amazing, was tough as nails and very sinewy. Next time he should try using some North or South American beef. And it did not stop him from using Alaskan king crab! That being said, this was one of the better upscale restaurants in Paris I have experienced over the last few months of dining out every night.

Went To Akrame for dinner with a friend
We chose the 4 course menu... Which actually means around 10 with the various mise en bouche and mignardises

Overall a superbly executed meal, with a lot of very innovative ideas. For me the ultimate sign of a great chef is when I like dishes made with ingredients I usually hate. There were a few of those yesterday (pastis, some kind of fenouil...) and I really liked all the dishes
Theater beef with cacao and beetroot for instance, which scared me a bit when I heard the description (I had a bad experience with a similar dish in a *** resto years ago) was very good
Highlight of the meal was probably the seabass with peas and mint, just beautiful and delicious

Service was good though a bit overwhelmed it seemed sometimes (I defo had to wait for water a few times)

Wine list very expensive

To summarise great dishes, with a lot of originality and perfect execution... And some very nice small side pluses (the butter for instance is one of a kind)

Defo a great culinary experience
