There are larger outdoor markets in Paris but probably not one that has higher quality vendors. Among the permanent shops is arguably the best boulangerie in Paris and a very good fromagerie.

We like to stay on the Left Bank when visiting Paris, mostly in apartments. Don’t do a lot of cooking- prefer ‘assemblages’ from the local markets. M-M market is one of our regular stops, along with Place Monge. It’s small, but you can find quality produce at reasonable prices. The stall holders are very friendly, and will often offer a sample.
There is a great cheese shop just behind the market as well.
Even if you’re not buying anything, it’s fun to soak up the atmosphere.

Most areas of Paris have their own outdoor markets and this is one set in the middle of the old university quarter. Good produce and other stuff found here. Traditional.

This market is right off the metro and as an added bonus it is around the corner from the only hotel I prefer to stay at in Paris. I recently went with a friend and bought several unique food items and various gifts for friends who didn't go to Paris with me.

The market is mice but less attractive than other markets I've visited. If you are in the neighborhood you can visit.
