So calm, so beautiful! Quite the experience! From the steps of the Sacre-Coeur, to the inside of the basilica, it was beautiful and breath taking. I can't believe it was free.

This place is truly amazing, the views from the ground and even if you dare climb the spiral staircase to the top (be prepared for what felt like 1000+ stairs), the views are breathtaking.

There is no way you are going to avoid all the steps necessary to get to the Basilica. Even with the funicular. Inside a modestly adorned basilica, but outside is the reason you walked up the steps.

Before we started the steep climb we decided to collect some lunch and sit within the grounds before a slow walk, once at the top the church was beautiful, we didn't go inside but decided to explore the outside and then walk around the artists district

The town leading up to the main stairs that you begin to climb has all sorts of vendors. It is a narrow street with a lot of history. Sweet treats and lots of Paris themed stores. The stairs leading up to Sacre-Coeur are plenty and steep. There will be vendors soliciting you to buy water or mini Eiffel Towers as you begin to climb the stairs up to Sacre-Coeur. Definitely wear your walking shoes. Inside the Church is very pretty but doesn't compare to Notre Dame. There is a beautiful town up near the church on the main street. They have paintings to buy and lots of places to eat. It reminds you of Classic Paris with all the vendors. It is worth walking around that area but note that the restaurants are not usually very friendly if you don't speak any French. The small lunch place we went, we didn't have a good experience but we bought a few beautiful paintings! Bring your cash Euros!
