Although Notre Dame deservedly is a "must see" when in Paris, you won't want to miss spending an hour or so wandering through the hidden gem of Sainte-Chapelle Cathedral nearby. Stained glass surrounds you for a most compelling visual experience.

Off the beaten tourist path, but well worth any time you can spend there. You will find they have the best location for their gift shop.

Impressive and worth to go here. Especially the first floor. But get ready to stand in line.. first to get into the area, then again to get into the chapel.

What an absolute gem of a place! Admittedly on first going inside we did think well is this it? But then you go upstairs ( winding stone spiral ones) and wow! This is simply stunning.
beautiful stained glass windows, wonderful tiled floors which are also worth a closer look than simply walking on them and the atmosphere is wonderful.
I wish we had known they do classical concerts there most nights because we would certainly have bought tickets for one.
Just a note - it is well worth buying a joint ticket at the Conciergerie because then you can get priority entry to Saint Chappelle and miss out a lot of the long queues for security.

This really is a must see the stained glass is amazing and you would have never seen anything like it. Top tip go to Conciergerie first buy joint ticket then you can skip the line and trust me you will want to as the queue is hours long.
