One of the well known symbols of Paris, and definitely more impressive in real life. The Champs Elysees area is very busy between pedestrians and chaotic traffic. One cannot cross the circle to get to the monument except on the first Sunday of the month, and the other access is by underground tunnel. Very touching to be there when flowers are placed on the tomb of the forgotten soldier.
A stunning structure with much historical significance, as does so much of this amazing city.
