First: the rooms are quite nice for Paris (though mine seemed to have some residual cigarette smell) and the location useful for both business and tourism. The lobby has a computer for printing boarding passes that came in handy. The breakfast is standard and the breakfast hours are generous. I have many positive things to say about the hotel.
-check-in took weirdly long -- I think over 20 minutes to "find my reservation in the system" (though the desk manager was very gracious about it.)
-The wifi repeatedly did not work for extended periods of time. When I called the front desk one night around 10:30pm to report the wifi issue, instead of offering to reset the router, the desk manager told me we'd have to wait until the morning. Based on other reviews, it seems that broken WiFi here is a common issue. Given that I was staying here for work, this was a significant issue.
- I have another complaint but don't like to call out lower level employees when it's probably more of an institutional problem, so I'll keep it to myself and just say it made my experience less than ideal.
One or two of these issues would be fine -- but in whole, the hotel did not leave me impressed, despite the good things it has going for it.More
