A family hotel in the classic style with tastefully appointed large rooms and bathrooms, lots of closet space and elegant furnishings. Centrally located and although above a tram line the heavy exterior door cuts most of the street noise. A separate door between the foyer and stair helps reduce noise from the stairway but as there is no lift some clomping is still audible. Parking in the proximity is on the street and must be paid every 2 hours between 9 am and 7 pm. Free overnight. Recommended for location and furnishings.

I normally love historic buildings. This hotel had a pleasant lobby, but eh staff were very unhelpful. We were on the top floor, the stairs were narrow and winding, and here was no porter or elevator. We literally could not get out of our room if someone was coming up the stairs

I booked Hotel de l'Abeille to veer myself away from my usual hotel stay habits, namely booking stays at the usual hotel brands.
We received a warm welcome on arrival. It must be noted that the hotel has no lifts so getting heavy luggage up and down the stairs can prove difficult, although there is always a helping hand on offer.
Speaking of helping hands, I must mention Karima and Nea; two wonderful, knowledgeable, amiable members of the hotel staff team who helped us throughout our stay.
The rooms are...well the pictures can do the talking in this regard. Overall we found them clean and unique and with the right balance of modern creature comforts and French boutique wonderfulness.
The location cannot be better; a stone's throw away from the main square and plenty of cafes and shops around. Great transport links too.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for a very authentic stay in a simply beautiful city.
C'est magnifique!

On the border of old part of the city, nice located. Very frindly staff. Rooms as they were build somewhere in XIX century, but nice renovated and decorated in style.Very nice brakfast, served on stylish plates. No air-condition. No lift. Really high floors means a lot of training on the staircase with your bags. Still - worth it

Old and intimate place full of nostalgia, but yet comfortable and good service. Very nice area of impressive city of Orléans. Good breakfast, very nice hall. Typical last minute one night stepover location. The hotel is very close to the famous cathedral, and the beautiful city center.

Room Tip: No elevator, so request for lower floors
