We rented this apartment during the Semaine Federale Cycling event, and the best thing about it was that after a long day's riding coming back to the apartment was like coming back home. The bedroom in the cellar is accessed by a slightly steep staircase, so you have to get used to it, but it is beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable, with the added bonus was that it was nice and cool on hot days. The kitchen is very well equipped, and has all the amenities you might need. As our stay was 8 days and involved hours of cycling, it was very handy to have a washing machine! The living room was spacious but cosy, the bathroom was clean, and the best bit was that every morning we could get fresh croissants from the bakery across the road! Unfortunately, as it was August, we did not get to taste the food at the restaurant on the square next to the apartment, as it was closed for the holidays, but it was well regarded. We managed to park our car for free for the whole week on an adjacent road. All in all, it was a very good choice!
I stayed in this place for 3 weeks, most of the time by myself and was later joined by my wife and daughter. On my first day, I was greeted by owners' relatives who patiently showed me around and explained how things work.
I, and later my wife and daughter, very much liked the place - the layout, the decor and location. The apartment is on a quiet one-way street within literally minutes from all major attractions, with a pastry shop and "deli" across the street and a nice cafe frequented by locals just around the corner.
Florence and Pascal, the owners, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
Overall, perhaps my best experience so far in France, even though I never had reasons to complain before.
