I arrived with a group and stayed with a friend in a junior suite. It had a connecting door to a room on the third floor for family use. This provided a fun architectural effect of stained stair case over part of the soaking tub! Being an old (and famous) hotel, it was not surprising to find we actually had to take two elevators to get to our room on the second floor! The staff was fabulous and helpful. The breakfast incredible and the bar on the ground floor great fun for an aperitif or digestif. Dinner at L'Oiseau des Vignes (on the premises but not owned by the hotel) was phenomenal.

The hotel is in an excellent location. We arrived late and ordered a cheese platter with some wine. We were not disappointed.

This hotel has a lot of history and a lot of character. The rooms were lovely.

Room Tip: Our room faced the inner courtyard and it was a little noisy first thing in the morning.

Very classy elegant hotel. The bar was really nice. The location was great, the rooms large and the bathrooms were perfect. We were really happy with the experience and would recommend this hotel to all.

Great service and excellent, attentive staff. Rooms are unique and spacious and well equipped. From the time you pull up out front to the time you come down for breakfast and depart, your every need is attended to. Just an enjoyable visit for 3 nights.

The staff (esp. Julien) at the desk were spot-on! We used le Cep as our base camp for walking all over the city: the Ramparts and the downtown, and took advantage of the car park behind the hotel to day trip to the vineyards and out into the country. Our breakfast was included in our room rate -- good croissants and breads, yogurts, a full array of cheeses, cold cuts, and cheeses. Fresh fruit and even pancakes were available and if you didn't want hard boiled eggs, for only an additional 3 euros, you could have omelettes.
