This hotel was our base for our first golf break in Brittany. We had a friendly welcome from the receptionist, (Myriam). Myriam spoke very good English and was very helpful regarding the car park and provided us with a street plan for the old town.

The hotel is 10 yards from the amazing beach/bay and cobbled prom which leads to the old town (leisurely 15 min walk). We had pre-booked a space in the hotel's secure underground carpark (€15 per night), this is well worth doing as the streets of Saint Malo are very narrow and busy. The bay's are a good size and the garage is well lit with stairs and a lift to all floors.

The rooms are clean and comfortable (although a little snug), this was fine for our break. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice. There's a small bar and lounge for a nightcap and chat before retiring.

We will definitely return to St Malo and will be happy to stay at this hotel again.

St Malo is a really lovely old fashioned sea side town and the hotel was good for what we needed. We were travelling with a 12yo and had a room with a second bed on a mezzanine level. The room was small but we were only there for 2 nights so being a bit squeezed in wasn't a problem. The sea views were lovely and the old town was only a 10 minute walk away along the beach. The breakfast buffet was fine, the drinks at the bar were cold and there was parking underneath - everything you need!

A group of 10 ladies have just enjoyed a short break at this hotel. We found it to be clean, staff very helpful and it was perfect for our needs. We would recommend it. It is about a 15 min walk to the town, along the seafront. If you are flying to St-Malo and need transport to and from the hotel, the staff at the hotel recommended Chaffeur Malouin. We had 2 taxis and we were so impressed with this service. Our drivers were prompt, informative, charming and professional. Reasonably priced too. We would certainly recommend them. Thank you Escale-Oceania for a great stay.

From a friendly greeting to comfortable rooms, this hotel was perfect for us. Easy walk down the street to the walled city, but where we were it was easy to navigate around the town without having to deal with the tiny roads in the walled city.

Room tip: Ask for a room overlooking the water. Beautiful view!

We recently stayed in Escale Oceania, but we're generally underwhelmed from what we experienced. Everything was adequate but it just lacked character and appeal you would expect from a vacation hotel.

Breakfast was available but it was generic and forgettable.

If you're a no frills traveller, by all means this plalce does the job. But if you're looking for more, Escale Oceania is not the place for you.

Location is ok. It's near several restaurants but that's that.
