My wife and I had a very nice lunch here. The view over the mouth of the Rance river are great. This is one of the only restaurants in St. Malo that has an elevated view over the city walls. You sit on top of the old city walls and can watch the people go by on the walk around the walls, watch the boats go up and down the mouth of the Rance river, and watch the tide come in and out on the beaches. And the savory galettes, salads, sweet crepes, and local ciders make for a great lunch by the sea. At many places in a town like this, with this view, you'd expect to get killed on price for bad service and crummy food. This is not the case at Le Corps de Garde. Go. Eat. Sit. Watch the tides.
