I stayed here with two other people. The room was very large and had plenty of space for us all. Our cupboard had a sink and fridge in it which was very helpful for storing food and drinks. The room was clean and well kept. The shower was good, however the bathroom is a wet room and the shower drain took a little longer to drain than you would hope for. This meant there was a puddle on the floor after showers.

The pool and sauna were excellent and open 7am-10pm during our stay. We found this to more than adequate. You have to request to have the sauna turned on if you want to use it as it takes 30 minutes to warm up. However this was not a problem as many people use it. It was on the whole time we were there. There were not many seats by the pool but generally it was not too busy.

The location is excellent. You can see down into and across the town and there is a dedicated path from the hotel to the town. Driving down to the town means going through some back streets but not a big issue.

Overall it is a lovely hotel and I would stay here again.

We had a hotel room in the wing of this old manor. But nothing old or staid about this place. Interior is very modern and facilities excellent. Our room was superb, a huge bed, ground floor so we had a small terrace facing a quiet corner of the garden. Bathroom was lovely. Spotless and very comfortable. The sliding wardrobes revealed a small drinks area with its own sink, kettle and tea/coffee. Maybe take some coffee mate or milk if you don't like black coffee.

We did not meet many staff, but particularly like to thank Laurent who was so accommodating and helpful. We did not use the bar area but it looked good and there was a super terrace to sit out on.

The location was great for us, as just away from the main busy centre and the river.

This hotel is high up above the river and you can access the town via a lot of steps down, which may not be ideal for some, but we managed ok, you just had to be a little careful. Not sure about in the dark though. However, we did find a way to walk via the road which took us down in only 10 - 15 minutes to Julia Square (the main town centre square with the Museum) which although steep in places was a lot better than the steps. We chose this hotel because of its location and the ample free and secure parking, not all the hotels in Pont Aven have parking and at busy times the on-street or riverside parking is difficult.

The only down side we found (and this hotel was not on its own for this) was the additional cost of breakfast. At 14 Euro per person we found this not the best value for money. On our tour of Brittany and Normandy we had to pay this sort of charge a few times and it does mount up, but this hotel could offer a little more choice and give better value at breakfast for the charge we felt or reduce it. I'd have been happier paying Euro 10 each for what we had on offer. With hind-sight we would have bought in some fruit and a couple of croissants etc. and had basic breakfast in our room, as no cafe close enough without the walk down to town.

But otherwise it is to be highly recommended

The indoor pool and leisure area were lovely, we had it all to ourselves, but this was a quiet time (June) but worth remembering hotel does get full in July & Aug. Looked good for disabled access to the pool as well.

Pont Aven is a beautiful place, with a lot of good restaurants, but they get busy and they can be expensive. I'm reviewing a couple of them on relevant pages; Las Mimosas and Creperie du Port.

Room tip: The hotel has a lift and ramps, so good for accessibility. Even the swimming pool has disabled facility to enter the pool.

Lovely spacious apartment. Very clean and quiet. Pet friendly and secured parking by the door. Good location with pleasant walk down to the town although might be a problem for those with mobility issues. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. Excellent free wifi.
This hotel is excellent value for money and we will certainly look to book again next time we come to Pont Aven.

We arrived and were shown our room (314) and immediately smelled damp in the main bathroom. Reception informed us that they had no other rooms and we therefore had no other choice but to stay. They sent someone who worked next morning and solved nothing. We had another night to stay and luckily a second bathroom. The staff were not very helpful, we received no apology. Our opinion was stated to the hotel that the room should not be let again until the problem is solved. Breakfast was also particularly uninspiring with very little choice and nothing cooked. It is certainly not worth 4 stars,

A very friendly hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. Superb restaurant. Caring and attentive staff. Excellent setting with a few steps to climb but well worth the effort to gently ascend to behold stunning vistas of Pont-Aven. Space to be, have a swim or hire bicycles. The local recommended taxi lady was equally friendly. Very good!
