A lovely17th century church St Cornély Church is a fine example of Breton Renaissance architecture. There are beautiful paintings underneath the 18th century painted wooden arches depicting episodes involving St Cornely protector of cattle, Jesus and the Virgin and stunning stained glass windows.

I was not sure if you could collect the candles or not and there was no one recognisable to ask so was in limbo for a while.

Amazing example of renaissance architecture. You must go in and look at the amazing ceilings and stained glass windows.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I visited Carnac, primarily to see the megaliths, and since we were in the central plaza, we popped into the church. I love old churches, and although this doesn't particularly stand out (it's fairly simple and dark), it's still quite interesting for the atmosphere.

2 thumbs up!

Thank Mark M
