We had visited this restaurant a few years ago, and found it excellent.
On this visit, the main courses were limited to a choice of four, two fish, two meat.
The food was excellent; on top of the dishes which we had ordered, there were a little aperitif snack, an amuse bouche, and a little something at the end; these were all superb.
I had an egg in a spinach sause starter, and my partner had the foi gras - both super - the spinach sauce was really tasty, and was more savoury than plain spinach.
We both had coquille st Jacques main course and again, the coquille st jacques were the best we ahd ever eaten.
For dessert, we both had the ball of choclate which melts under the hot chocalate sauce; this has changed from 2 years ago and is still excellent.
Service was excellent; we recognised one of the serveurs from two years ago - he has worked their for 10 years, which is unusual. He gave us good advice on choice of wine - a more fruity wine as we wished, but at an economical price. The other serveur asked if my partner wanted more toast with her foi gras; when we enquired as to the recipe for the butternut velouté, we thought that we would get no where, but she knew and told us the ingredients; this did not sound as tasty as the velouté was, so she asked the chef and came back with the secret ingredient.
The setting was pleasant as before and toilets clean - only negative point would be that there were several steps up to the toilet, which would be fiddly for someone poorly able.
The bill for two meals and bottle wine was 123 euros.
We would undoubtedly visit again; it is expensive, but is a special delight and treat for us; we will be trying to make the butternut velouté ourselves.

Outstanding food, service and wine in this delightful little find just off one of the main squares. Every dish was a marvelous concoction, beautifully presented. An amuse bouche of watermelon gazpacho and a main of sesame crusted tuna were exceptional. And the chocolate bomb will please any child or adult. But the Grand Marnier soufflé is a must. The house wines are ideal. Practically faultless. Go.
