Our second visit here and I accused it of "losing its soul" to commercialism. Bit harsh, although it still caters largely for tourists.
So, simple, unpretentious food not spectacular but well prepared and very tasty. My foie gras was much better than the normal fare and although all the mains had the same potatoes and little veg. both my cod and my wife's hake were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
The French would say that our desserts were "industriel" i.e. not prepared on site, but overall we really enjoyed our meals and that, in the end, is the test of any review.
