I have to say, it takes a lot for me and my friends to rate a place 5 star, but this really is somewhere you must visit! We turned up slightly late but even though that was the case, they were very happy to serve us. The food is incredible. A great reasonably priced wine list and good atmosphere. If you are in Bordeaux I would definitely recommend.

The chef and kitchen here are turning out incredible food in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. The food is high quality with extremely creative flavor combinations that change regularly according to what is fresh. When we visited, some of the innovative combinations included shrimp tartare with rose glace and pink pepper and a cold, creamy mango soup with foie gras. The specialty here is a hot salt block where you finish cooking the beef pieces yourself turning them on the block-- while it's a Galician dish, it has that primitive element that represents the Cromagnon theme. Save room for dessert too-- a chocolate ball melted with a low flame was delicious. In addition to tasting wonderful, the food presentation is lovely too. Our server was great-- he made good suggestions for the meal and wine and really shared our enthusiasm for the lovely meal. The inside of the restaurant has a relaxed feeling with lots of natural wood, plants, and some nice vintage pieces. If you find yourself in Bordeaux, definitely make time to visit this restaurant!

Stumbled upon this recently opened local restaurant on a trip to Bordeaux. This restaurant is away from the main tourist area in a narrow street lined with restaurants though this one was memorable. The design of the restaurant is modern and Scandinavian in style. They offer a fixed price lunch menu which changes daily. The food was excellent and well presented. Customer service is warm and friendly and they are able and willing to adapt a dish for certain tastes

Open only 5 months this restaurant, owned by a young Moldavian chef, has already established a reputation and you should visit whilst prices are still reasonable. Situated on a small street near the central shopping area it is bright, modern and inexpensively furnished. It is possible to sit outside or even on a sofa overlooking the large open window although you would have to book. The kitchen is on display and we were told that everything, except the ice cream, is homemade. Dishes are exquisitely presented and I can particularly recommend the prawn tartar for starters which is served with its own jus. A speciality is to cook on a salt block which is delivered to your table with the food still sizzling on top. Duck breast was tender and served with a medley of seasonal vegetables. Even the dessert looked as if it had come straight from a flower garden with succulent jellies surrounded by colourful leaves. The house white wine at €3.50/glass complimented the dinner perfectly. Overall the bill for 2, including service, was €74. Great value for a unique experience.
