Visited here on a hot day and was a welcome relief being nice and cool inside. The library inside is a bit like the hogwart's library and has some very nice decor and architacture. The exhibits are predominantly all books though so if you are expecting anything else you will be disappointed. Possibly not a place for small or young children under 10 as they will be bored but good for adults and older children.

Thank Nick C

I was recommended to visit this library by our guide. Since I love libraries I decided to visit and they have some really interesting collections and nice exhibitions.

This is an amazing neo gothic building. It's often used for filming, Peaky Blinders, Darkest Hour, The Limehouse Golem.

As regular visitors to Manchester we've strolled along Deansgate on countless occasions, and never had the time / inclination to step into this fabulous old building to see what exactly is going on inside.

It's definitely worth half an hour of your time when you're next in the City.

The library tells the tale of the history of the building, the owners, and their inpact on the development of Manchester itself.

It is actually interesting !!

Give it a go........ for all of the swanky, modern buildings/hotels/bars that are appearing by the month, there will never be anything like this constructed ever again.
