Review of Wellington Inn

Wellington Inn
Ranked #197 of 588 Restaurants in Preston
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$1 - US$17
Description: A traditional Victorian English pub in the heart of Preston City Centre, serving big hearty plates of home cooked food 7 days a week. We are child friendly, with a special Children's Menu available, we love dogs too (as long as they are well behaved) so why not bring yours along, we'll have a water bowl ready! We offer a vast range of dishes, from traditional English Pub food, to Italian dishes, Indian dishes, Vegetarian and Vegan options, and a fantastic Children's Menu - with activities to keep them occupied! Did you know we are also Preston's most haunted Pub, and one of Lancashire's most haunted sites?! Our public house was built as such with a coach house in the early 19th Century, and there are countless tales of spooks and spectres over the years! We now have a brand new Beer Garden (with a fantastic sun trap) that hosts an outdoor bar, traditional English Pub games - such as Ring-On-A-String and Corn-hole, an outdoor pool table, and a Coachhouse Gallery, exhibiting street art from artists that travel from all over the UK to feature on our walls!

Ordered from Just Eat and wasn’t expecting to be able to pretty much plate it up enjoy it as much as eating in.

Crispy chips and pastry. Piping hot. Packaged perfectly to lock in the quality.

Definitely a worthy takeaway instead of the usual.

Will be ordering again soon.

We don't come into Preston very oten, but we were here for a concert at the Guildhall (again) but decided to visit here after our experience two years ago. We had a couple of drinks and opted for the Friday Chippy Tea offer which was great, feshly cooked , chunky chips, mushy peas with a fab tatare sauce. Great food in a traditional pub setting made for a fab evening in Preston, See you next time

It’s a lovely little hidden pub in Preston . Nicer decor / atmosphere than it used to be . Still has character.
Small pub . Kids welcome and food reasonably priced. I really enjoyed food but had to wait which was strAnge as pub didn’t seem busy . Food was fresh and tasted great . They had lighter menu and another menu . I didn’t see a kids menu but was not an issue as he chose off main one . Worth a visit
