Hotel was very nice/clean. park at the side or rear and approach the hotel from the front as not much signage, at the rear you are going through a entrance to some apartments. Hotel was in a good area for transportation, the food (I only had the breakfast) was very nice. all the staff were very nice and helpful, so nice you could even have a laugh with them. only down side for me was the parking. paid at the hotel and a week later I got a parking enforcement notice!. strange how we live in a world of easy quick communication and the parking company don't talk to the hotel, only email, even then it can take 28 days to sort. (parking issue sorted now).

Room Tip: as others have said, if you want a quiet room go for one at the rear.

This has to be the best hotel to use if you visit Watford.

No late night hassle from the town centre, although you can walk there in a couple of minutes.
Not a lot of traffic because it is no longer a main route and what there is, isn't fast even though you are within sight of Watford Junction.
The rear of the hotel backs onto Victorian residential streets and is very quiet.

Outside, you have a major cab rank, lots of buses and Watford Junction station.

The M25 is an almost direct drive of 9mins.
The M1 is 15min drive.

It's the best hotel in Watford for every reason.

My partner and I stayed here over the weekend, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food on site was great, and the rooms were lovely - we would definitely come back!

Stayed here for one night booked two rooms for family of four as wanted the extra sleeping space. We went to the Harry Potter studio and the bus was minutes walk from hotel and station . On returning we had a meal and drinks in lobby which was lovely decor lots of large TVs and kids ate for free as ordered off main menu. Rooms had air conditioning hairdryer toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was nice staff helpful and pleasant. Have not stayed in. Holiday inn before but was impressed!

My husband is disabled and we had our daughter with us and the room was still big enough even with the sofa bed pulled out to get his powered wheelchair in the room, we had a wet room bathroom with plenty of grab handles and extra towels that were plenty big enough, (which we didn't get at the last hotel we stayed at-not a holiday Inn). The hotel offered extra help at several times, our stay was lovely thank you.
