Stayed here for a few days whilst visiting the Silverstone circuit, room was very clean and bed comfortable, aircon was also a bonus, my only grumble was eating. The restaurant menu didn't really appeal so we used the bar menu for eating, the food was good, my only issue is the bar area doesn't have suitable seating arrangements for eating food, very low tables making it awkward to dine, the breakfast was ok, some of the food seemed to be sitting out for some time but other than that everything else seems fine, if you don't like Mediterranean food then you may have to dine elsewhere or settle for typical bar food

Its been my fourth stay at this hotel over the British Grand prix weekend. Its about 20 minutes from the circuit. This is a very nice hotel. Very quiet. Rooms are very good quality indeed. Terrific air conditioning. Very comfortable ample size beds. Super showers in a very nice bathroom. Staff very nice. Booze very reasonably priced. Food very good for a hotel; above standard for a 4 star hotel. Well recommended for a business stay or golfing weekend at the nearby course.

Room tip: Gold course views are at the back of the hotel

We spent a pleasant weekend here while visiting Bletchley Park, Buckingham and Stoke Bruerne (Grand Union Canal). The hotel is well situated just off the A5, but thanks to the vagaries of the roundabout system in Milton Keynes, still not easy to find. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the public areas, including the decked area outside the bar, are very pleasant. Staff are friendly and helpful, though the restaurant service can be somewhat dilatory.

We haven't stayed in a Mercure for very many years now, but needed to stay at MK. A previous visit to another hotel chain in MK was nbg so we thought we'd give this one a whirl. We were not disappointed. Located on the outskirts of the city, a short drive from M1 J14, the hotel is in a quiet location (but no nearby amenities, if those are important). We received a friendly welcome. Our room was large and very comfortable with all the needed mod cons and more. We didn't need the hotel restaurant that night as we were going to a function elsewhere. Breakfast was a well maintained and generous buffet, the only downside was vacuum flasks dispensing coffee and hot water for tea. Could have done with a machine, or tea/coffee pot. We'll definitely use it again. Our only negative was the lone bartender on duty in a busy late evening, who didn't know what a Cognac was (it's a French group for goodness sake!), and wasn't even certain what brandy was. I had to scan the back of the bar to locate a Cognac bottle and point it out! Apologetic bt but, but I pointed out it was not the bt's fault, but the Management's. Help was summoned and the queue diminished under the eye of a grey suit and second bt. For that reason the service score below was down rated.

One word of advice, this is a low level hotel and the bit we were in had only a ground and first floor. There's no lift! While we are not registered disabled, stairs are a problem and when we were offered a first floor room we had to reject it. Fortunately there was a ground floor room we could swap to. If you have such issues, let them know on booking. Disabled needs are catered for to reach the various social areas of the hotel, so wheelchair users needn't be over concerned, but make sure they know.

Room tip: See comment above regarding stairs
