I really don't know what to say other than it's a product of it environment.
Just as the area is starting to look tired and in need of desperate updating from it's 80's design and layout, The restaurant seems to follow suit.
This was one of the places to eat for many years and at it's peak getting a table used to mean booking well in advance.
Now it's a buffet restaurant that seems more akin to holiday camp food and decoration that is flat and tired.
The food now is obviously shipped in from the place on the North Circular in London whose name escapes me.
