We found this hotel to be very good price though it did only include the room and meals were extra but easily found with a choice of the usual eating places found on a motorway service station in the building next to hotel and there was plenty of free parking spaces . The room was basic but had all that required like washing facilities and tea/coffee making also a TV though it did only have the main 5 TV channels. As it is situated on the motorway it is in the middle of nowhere so nothing to do in an evening unless you go back out in the car

Room Tip: There is no lift so need to ask for room downstairs if have mobility problems

The hotel lacks amenities its bar is a fridge behind the reception counter, car park is not secure as it is part of the service station, rooms were clean but very basic but practical for a one night stay but would not want to stay any longer than one night

The Days Inn on the edge of Peterborough is an easy location to aim for and the staff are pleasant and helpful, which is always a bonus whenever I am away from home. The room we were given was spacious and neat, with a great shower to wash away the days problems.

We arrived late at night, tired kids and dogs in tow. We had booked a family room. The room we were given did not have the bed pulled out, I pulled it out and it was covered in rubbish.

Not a good start.

Went to reception and they switched us to another family room that was all ready to go with the beds out. Perfect!

They were very apologetic.

Woke up in the morning to find four vouchers for full English breakfast next door at patisserie Valerie had been slipped under the door with a letter confirming that the manager had been informed.

All in all a good stay. Knowing that Days Inn is dog friendly and reasonably priced is a good find for future trips away.

Great work!

Why only 4 stars? The room shouldn’t have been in that condition in the first place... ;-)

My son and his disabled wife booked and paid by debit card for a room for one night. On arrival he was told the room had not been paid for and he was forced to pay again before he and his wife were allowed access to the room. They were told that the manager had tried to ring him to let him know that his credit card payment had failed, which was odd as he paid by debit card. He checked the phone number with Reception and they had the correct number but he had no log of any calls. They then tried to say he had booked through a booking agent, when he had paid through the Wyndhams website. The moral of this story is opt to pay on arrival if you dont want to be charged twice for a somewhat mediocre room.
