It is a basically a simple mid-evil tower, however it is well preserved and you can climb it with a ticket that costs a few Euros.
It is very easy to get to. You probably like it a lot if you are Viking's fan.

Wow. Reginald's Tower sits right in the middle to the VikingTriangle, and it is impossible to miss. So much history.

By golly, I never knew the Vikings had such an influence on Ireland. Right here in Waterford! Let history unfold and wrap you up in its fog of imagination and welcome the unexpected.

(I traveled in April 2017 but the 'when' did not let me go back that for, so I 'lied')

After viewing the tower, the exhibits and video clip, we asked whether the Viking language influenced the Irish Language. We landed up having a conversation on the origins of languages in European continent. Enlightening indeed!!

Worth the climb up the narrow stairs of 3 levels to get to the top. A video is played giving the history of the tower which is the oldest civic building in Ireland, 947AD when the Vikings settled in Waterford.
