I can only concur with the super reviews already submitted by other guests. I'm giving this 5 stars because 12 of us as a family group enjoyed a marvellous week in Lagan House to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble for Michael, the proprietor, who looked after our every need. Lagan House is to be highly recommended.

Incredible Memories made in an Incredible House!
We had an absolutely fantastic weekend in Lagan House this June Bank Holiday. There was a large group of us from ages 8 weeks to 78 and we all had just a wonderful time. The location is second to none and the accommodation is even better. We dined outside most evenings with the outdoor barbecue and our trips to the beach for swims morning and evening was made even easier with the outdoor shower. There are so many facilities available in the house with everything just of the highest quality. The best thing about the house really though was that it allowed our families to stay together and enjoy each others company in a way that you just couldn't get with other holiday rentals. The large seating area indoors and the extensive patio outdoors were just both excellent spaces for both adults and children to be together. The house was perfect for our large group and we really had a fantastic time. Michael is a pleasure to deal with and we are looking forward to our next stay in Lagan House. We would highly recommend it!

Lagan
6 of us hired Lagan for a 5 day break in may. We were met by Michael who gave us a tour and explained how everything worked etc. he also gave us his local managers details (Eamon) in case of an issue. We had one request for some patio umbrellas and Eamon appeared in 5 mins to sort us out. On two days he also provided us with 4 homemade wheaten loaves! The property is everything it says in the ads. Its beautifuly finished the beds are really comfy the kitchen is really well equipped ( we cooked in every night including a bbq) . We watched the sunset every night from the living area - just stunning. It was literally 2 mins to the Old Head beach where we swam every morning. 10 mins to croagh Patrick (CP)climbing point, 15 mins to Westport, 5 mins from Louisburgh village which had a Spar. We did the Achill Island Greeway cycle ( bus to Achill and cycled back) a great day but takes longer than you think! A couple of the party climbed CP - approx 3 hrs up and down. We have been holidaying every year in the west for quite sometime and have stayed in some great properties but would all agree this one was the best by a margin. The location, the quality of the house is pretty faultless really. Michael is also great to deal with. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this property.

An Absolutely Perfect Getaway Home
My friends and I rented out Avalon and Lagan combined for a stay in Feb 2023. It was a perfect stay. The houses are spectacular, modern and extremely well out-fitted. Every bedroom is fitted out to the standrd of a high-class hotel and they look great. The location of both houses is also magnificent. The beach is so close and the Mayo scenery is wonderful. Michael was the best host we could have asked for and was kind and accommodating in every single interaction we had with him. I could not recommend this place enough. It is one of the few group holidays I've been on where we wanted to come back to these houses in particular. Thank you, Michael!

Exceptional holiday rental
We rented this house over Christmas for ourselves and our family and received the warmest and most personal welcome we could have hoped for, by the owner Michael himself. The house is absolutely fabulous! So luxurious and comfortable in every way. Amazing bedrooms and bathrooms and exceptional living and cooking area, which came fully equipped and made cooking Christmas dinner a dream.
We arrived to find the most delicious barmbrack, courtesy of Michael’s brother who then stopped on Christmas Eve with enough freshly baked wheaten breads to feed us all!
The location is fantastic, just by the sea and so close to Croagh Patrick and Westport!
Michael’s hospitality and attention to detail is unparalleled up to the way he decorated the house which left all our kids with the most magical memories.
We loved it so much, it was hard to leave. We will certainly be back.

It is FIVE STAR
We, a party of 10, stayed at wonderful, luxurious Lagan at the end of August 2022. It was for a special wedding anniversary held over from 2021 which our kind host, Michael, allowed us to roll over. The whole experience was one not to be missed. The facilities at Lagan are second to none; everything you need is there even if an oldie like me never mastered all the technology. The layout is now improved from that which you can see in the video because instead of two tables there is one big table sitting 12 which makes for much convivial mealtimes. The views from Lagan are stunning and Michael enhances the stay with invaluable suggestions on where to shop, where to eat, where to visit and especially with a delivery of delicious fresh warm bread on the first Monday.
Highly recommended; the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Perfect house and location
Our stay at Lagan House was perfect. We couldn’t fault or complain about anything. Both Michael and Eamon made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. The house was very clean and spacious. Everything in the house was modern and high end. There was plenty of everything such as towels, plates, mugs, glasses etc absolutely everything has been thought of. Old head beach was a short stroll away and we had beautiful views of Croagh Patrick. Sad to be home and would love to come again.

Stunning Location & Hospitality
This property is idyllic - We rented both Lagan & Avalon for a family gathering. Properties are impeccable, every need is catered for. Perfect secluded location, practically on the beach, at the foothills of Croagh Patrick. Outstanding views in every direction. 10/15 mins into Westport & 5 mins from Louisburgh. Michael is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. He works hard to make sure his guests are well taken care of. Can not recommend a stay here highly enough.

Stunning house with an Epic view
We recently stayed at the Old Head Beach house and we can only say the stay was truly the five star experience. The house is super modern with everything you need for a large gathering, plenty of space and the atmosphere is superb. There is ample parking and all mods/cons needed for a longer stay are available, the owner Michael has thought of every detail to make the stay very comfortable for his guests. Honestly he couldn’t of done enough for us, from delivering fresh brown bread to us in the morning to offering us a lift to Westport, to being an impromptu photographer, he really went above and beyond. Our event was a hen party and several of the girls in attendance said it was the nicest house they had been to in Ireland! Would fully recommend. Five star ⭐️

High end property with amazing hospitality
The property was absolutely amazing, everything was very high spec and we had absolutely everything we needed. Our booking was very last minute due to another last minute cancellation for 20 people and Michael couldn't have done more for us. He was so accommodating, went over and above including driving a few of us into Westport town, he arranged fresh brown bread to be delivered one morning and also was on call for the entire weekend. I couldn't recommend this place enough for a family stay or with a group of friends. Also the location was so stunning, a short walk to the beach. This house and Michael are truly the 5 star experience.
