Returned to this area after 20 years and stayed at the Royal again. Well to my surprise imost of the same wonderful staff is still here. They are like a family and make you feel like a long lost relative. Rooms are large, clean and extremely comfortable. Food is excellent and the bar is top notch. Great central location if you are a golfer close to many of Ireland's most spectacular courses and right by the Ri g of Kerry, a must see.

Lovely traditional hotel in a great location in Killarney. Staff were wonderful and there is a great atmosphere by the open fire in the evenings - cosy furnishings... you can imagine this would be a beautiful hotel all lit up at Christmastime.

Our room was lovely. Faced the side of the hotel. Nice and quiet at night, comfy, soft beds. Lovely antique furniture added character. Room just a little too warm at night but better than being cold! You can imagine the history of the place, the hotel has real character.

Food was divine and brekkie in the mornings was plentiful and great choice! Good value. No pool, massage, spa or gym so we went over to the Maldon for this which was very convenient.

The hotel could have done with maybe a singer in the evenings, traditional band or something for entertainment but this is just a minor thing as there were pubs across the road who offered this so not a problem finding things to do.On the whole a very nice place to stay and I would return!

Room Tip: Ask at the desk how to lower the temp if the room gets too hot at night.

A beautiful old hotel in great condition right in the heart of Killarney. The bar and restaurant both quite nice as is getting tea or coffee in the lobby area in the afternoon. It is conveniently located to walk around to shops as well as other restaurants and pubs. They have a number of room options to accommodate families or people who just want a little more room than a standard hotel room. The best part of the Killarney Royal is the people! Everyone was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend the Killarney Royal

This boutique hotel is a gem and the staff couldn't be more pleasant, caring, and efficient. Aodan and Claire at the front desk made our three-night stay an absolute delight. Our room was big and bright, facing the street on the third floor. Breakfast was a feast, and we ate one night in the bar and that food was delicious. We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly -- a perfect base for exploring Killarney, the Ring of Kerry and Dingle.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 3rd Floor, facing the street, but were not bothered by noise (and I am a light sleeper). The room was big and bright.

Dropped into the bar for lunch as I had been a few years ago. It's a hidden gem! The food was fresh and freshly cooked and tasted really nice. I had freshly grilled salmon with lovely veg and potato. So tasty.
Atmosphere is relaxed and very friendly with welcoming staff.
Couldn't ask for more, really.

Dear Tom,

Thanks a million for your lovely comments about your recent meal in our bar bistro. Thankfully we have a wonderful head chef Joe who has been here for over 30 years and he really knows his food using local fresh produce for all meals. We hope that you will call in again for a meal or even treat yourself to a night's stay.

Looking forward to your return stay.

Kind Regards
Heather Chandler
